Simultaneously lightweight and rigid, this adapter’s frame enables connection between any smartphone and any eyepiece with an outside diameter of 45 mm or less including the Ultima Series zoom eyepiece. This eyepiece delivers extra magnification for stunning views, at both long and short distances, of birds and other wildlife. It even permits nighttime lunar observing! Simple installation requires only seconds of your time. All you have to do is clamp this adapter over the top of the eyepiece and securely lock your phone in place using the tightening knobs. Keep in mind that some large or overly large phone cases (including folio style cases) may have to be taken off in order for the phone to fit in the adapter.

The magnification range of the Celestron Ultima 80’s zoom eyepiece is 20x to 60x. Lower magnifications are best for landscape scanning while higher magnifications are great for when you want to hone in on small targets for an up-close view with plenty of detail.
